3. Do Not Hit and Run


Downloading and immediately stopping seeding is the cardinal sin of private tracking. It undermines the swarm, hurts other members, and violates the trust placed in you. Seed for as long as possible, ideally indefinitely.



4. Use Proper Naming Conventions


When uploading, follow the tracker's naming standards exactly. Correct naming enables search, filtering, and automated tools. Wrong naming clogs the database and frustrates other users.



5. Do Not Share Invitations


Sharing tracker invitations is almost universally prohibited. You are vouching for someone's character and competence. If they violate rules, you are partially responsible. Invitations are personal — treat them that way.



6. Be Respectful in Forums


Private tracker forums are communities, not anonymous imageboards. Be civil, be helpful, and contribute positively. Trolling, flaming, and entitlement are fast tracks to account restrictions.



7. Report Problems, Do Not Complain


If you encounter a broken torrent, a rule violation, or a technical issue, report it through the proper channels. Public complaints do not solve problems — they create them.



8. Contribute Content


Every private tracker depends on uploads. If you have content to share, upload it. If you can fill a request, fill it. The community gives to you — give back.



9. Use the Search Function


Before asking questions in forums, search for existing answers. Most common questions have been asked and answered before. Respecting people's time is basic etiquette.



10. Stay Active


Many trackers have inactivity policies. Log in periodically, browse, interact. A dormant account wastes a slot that could go to an active member. If you are no longer interested, gracefully exit rather than simply disappearing.
